iHEARTMEDIA DETROIT has launched the debut of The New Generation of Classic Rock on WLLZ (106.7 DETROIT’S WHEELS), replacing Alternative WDTW (ALT 106.7)/DETROIT.

The station stunted in its final hour playing AC/DC “It’s A Long Way To The Top If You Wanna Rock N’ Roll” continuously with the sound of wheels screeching between each play.

The new WLLZ will feature artists like AC/DC, NIRVANA, GUNS N’ ROSES, METALLICA, OZZY OSBOURNE and PEARL JAM, along with legendary DETROIT personalities like TRUDI DANIELS, DOUG PODELL, and BILL MCALLISTER.

“DETROIT’S WHEELS is back,” said iHEARTMEDIA DETROIT Region Pres. PAUL CORVINO. “The attitude, music and personalities featured on 106.7 DETROIT’S WHEELS is the perfect formula and will contribute to building a great audience for our advertisers.”

The new WLLZ full-time lineup features BILL MCALLISTER in mornings, TRUDI DANIELS in middays, DOUG PODELL in afternoons,and CASEY KRUKOWSKI in nights.
